For the 20th anniversary of the residential building and workshop in St. Georgen, Lebenshilfe Oberösterreich invites you to a party in the newly designed garden on September 9th. In the past two decades, numerous contacts have been made and projects in the region have been involved. After the Corona break, Lebenshilfe is all the more looking forward to encounters and opportunities to work together. “We are well connected in the community, we go out every day to go shopping, for example. People know us and it goes without saying that Lebenshilfe is in St. Georgen,” says Dominik Maier, head of the workshop. People with disabilities who work in workshops also work in companies as part of integrative employment, and Lebenshilfe is involved in the community’s integration working group. But Corona has slowed down some projects and collaborations, and the team wants to get back on the gas.
Full of energy
“We are full of ideas and thirst for action, hope that we will listen and we look forward to every contact. The aim is not just to be seen, but to be effective right in the middle,” says Christoph Tremetzberger, manager of the residential building. In the future, the newly designed garden, which will be opened at the anniversary celebration, will also become a place for encounters. “We can finally celebrate again, and we’re using our new garden right away to actively make contacts there,” says Horst Lebschy, chairman of the St. Georgen working group of the Lebenshilfe. The anniversary celebration will take place on September 9th at 2 p.m.
The employees of the residential building and the workshop are a well-rehearsed team that helps each other out and supports the disabled in networking in the region. “We can also be very proud of how we have mastered the strenuous Corona period,” says Dominik Maier, and Christoph Tremetzberger adds: “Our points of contact with society are not least due to committed employees who organize festivals and facilities such as visit the outdoor pool. People can actively make a difference here.”
