These facts and more than 600 registrations made the 38th edition of the Weberzeile Stadtlauf Ried the perfect premiere for Jasmin Zweimüller and Steffi Mühlbauer from the LAG Genböck Haus Ried, who were responsible for the organization for the first time this year. The sports spectacle was opened by the numerous children and young people. Then the starting shot was fired over 4.3 kilometers. After 14:32.2 minutes, Felix Mayerhöfer (DJK Dasswang) crossed the finish line as the winner. The fastest lady was Julia Ecker (LAC Amateure Steyr). Second place went to Susanne Schreindl (LG Passau), whose husband dominated the subsequent main run over 7.2 kilometers. In the first laps, Pattighamer Markus Reischauer (CLR Sauwald Cofain 699) was still hot on his heels, but in the end Schreindl crossed the finish line with a lead of 25 seconds.
Only the last (centi)meters decided on the women’s winner. Although Linda Meier (LAC Passau) crossed the finish line first after an exciting sprint with Leyla Reshed (LCAV Jodl Packaging), first place went to Reshed in the end. The reason: This had started further back in the large field of participants and had therefore triggered the timekeeping later.
