This is also possible thanks to the support of culturally affine sponsors.

The literature ship also regularly heads for the Garden of Secrets in Stroheim, where this year, among others, ex-Health Minister Rudi Anschober and court psychiatrist Heidi Kastner presented their books in a dreamlike setting. “If the weather is bad, we can switch to the old carpentry shop in Aschach, as we did for the first time at the reading by author Michael Köhlmeier,” says Gsöllradl-Samhaber, who was born in Eferding. The two cultural local suppliers want to work together more closely in the future and are planning joint events for next year.

Vitasek in front of a fantastic backdrop

In the future, the Garden of Secrets will primarily feature well-known writers and artists. On September 7th, cabaret artist Andreas Vitasek will present his book “I am the Other” and, in addition to his successes, will also talk about personal crises, weekend fatherhood and stage fright.

The autumn program will begin on September 3rd at the Achleitner organic farm in Eferding. The “Fridays for Future” activists Katharina Rogenhofer and Florian Schlederer present their book “If nothing changes, everything changes” (starting at 10 a.m.). Afterwards there will be a panel discussion with Sonnentor boss Johannes Gutmann and Andreas Achleitner from the organic farm, in which they will pursue the question of what future we want to live in and why climate protection is more than just making the right purchase decisions.

Readings with Sabine Scholl (“The ones in the shadows, the ones in the light”) and Judith Kuckart (“Café of the Invisibles”) are planned in the Eferding guest room in October.
