The Vila Real area has the most funds concentrated: 390 firefighters and 112 land plots were mobilized in response to the fire that broke out on Sunday in Samarda, in Vila Real, and which reactivated in the second half of this Wednesday after entering the resolution phase this morning .

There were 734 firefighters and 213 vehicles on the ground in the Portuguese mainland in the follow-up or consolidation action at 22:30, for a total of 34 cases.
According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), more than 60 municipalities in the areas of Vila Real, Viseu, Bragança, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Santarém and Portalegre pose the highest fire risk in this environment.
IPMA has also placed several municipalities in Braga, Vila Real, Viseu, Aveiro, Coimbra, Santarem, Leiria, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Lisbon, Évora, Beja and Faro in very high and high risk of rural fires.
According to the institute, the risk of rural fires in some regions of the continent will remain high until at least Sunday.
