Digitalos: From customer loyalty to seniors with the wooden angels

Now it’s time to be quick: The application period for the Digitalos runs until next Saturday, September 3rd. At the fourth edition of the OÖ Nachrichten Digital Prize, we are once again bringing all those companies, organizations and private individuals in front of the curtain that excel in the digital world. The application form and further information can be found at digitalos.nachrichten.at

The list of previous applicants reflects the diversity of the domestic digital scene. One of the most up-and-coming companies is the start-up hello again from Leonding, which specializes in customer loyalty. Five years after it was founded, the company intends to hire its 100th employee by the end of the year. hello again has made a name for itself in Upper Austria and beyond with apps for digital customer loyalty. Companies can use these apps to keep in touch with their customers, inform them and handle loyalty point programs. Company boss Franz Tretter was the founder of Scene1 and a product developer at Runtastic.

The former deacon and pastoral assistant Helmut Tschautscher has also discovered the digital world for himself. In the pension, the native of Mühlviertler started to make angel figures from waste wood. Because Corona and lockdowns made it difficult to sell the figures via Christmas markets and aid organizations, the now 80-year-old Tschautscher set up his own website and shop with the help of his daughters – and that as originally “digitally unnerved”, as Tschautscher says about himself.

If you also want to be part of Digitalos, you can apply in four different categories: digital start-ups, digital transformation, digital commitment and digital personality.

However, you cannot apply in the “Digital Pioneering Achievement” category. A person is honored here who has significantly shaped digitization in Upper Austria with their achievements. This award is determined by the jury headed by JKU Professor Martina Mara. The presentation of the Digitalos trophies is planned for October 6th in the forum of the OÖNachrichten in the Promenaden Galerien in Linz.
