With his 20-strong team, he accompanies and looks after 15 people with intellectual disabilities: “I like how openly people and associations in St. Peter approach Lebenshilfe.” Since the end of 2020, the trained specialist social worker has been working in the area of ​​work for the disabled in the Lebenshilfe residential building in St. Peter. The now 33-year-old from Gramastetten already completed his community service in a residential building for people with disabilities. After his part-time training as a specialist social worker, the trained cook started his career at the Lebenshilfe OÖ in 2015 in the Linz Urfahr workshop.

“Married” to St. Peter

Mario Vitale has a connection to the market town of St. Peter through his wife, who originally comes from St. Peter. “Clubs keep coming to us – from the Catholic women’s movement to the fire brigade and the Schuhplattler. This is how our residents experience exciting afternoons, barbecues and much more. We are also well anchored in the neighborhood – there is always something happening”, the house manager is happy about the integration in the village. Most recently, the residents helped with the state fire brigade competition by separating waste and were thus able to make new contacts.
