The former KTM Industries spoke today of a “strong performance despite aggravated supply chain problems”, due to the backlog of parts, especially in the electronics area, motorcycles and e-bicycles could not have been fully assembled.

Furthermore, 51,417 e-bikes and bicycles were sold (minus 3.7 percent). Pierer Mobility announced today in a press release that there was an increase in staff from 768 to 5,656 employees.

Strong growth in North America

In North America in particular there was strong sales growth, with 44,689 motorcycles an increase of 47 percent was achieved. There was also a significant increase in the Netherlands, Great Britain and Italy, while Germany saw a seven percent decrease. The important Indian motorcycle market recovered over the course of 2022 with a plus of five percent compared to the previous year. In order to counteract the current supply chain problems in the bicycle sector, Pierer E-Bikes founded a subsidiary in Taiwan in June 2022.

The Management Board has increased the outlook for 2022 and expects sales growth of between ten and 15 percent. So far, the company around CEO Stefan Pierer had assumed six to ten percent. The EBIT margin of eight to ten percent and an EBITDA margin of between 15 and 17 percent were confirmed today.
