Each district already has its potential winner. Numerous nominations have been received in the past few weeks for the Volunteer of the Year election at the OÖ Nachrichten.
In order to give even more of those who pull the strings in the background to hold the club network together a chance, the nomination phase has now been extended by a few days: you can nominate your secret hero until Sunday, September 4th. Simply fill out the form at nachrichten.at/ehrenamt and upload a photo of your favorite and a short description.
For those who have already been nominated, things will get exciting from today: voting begins. You can now vote once per day until September 25th. Finally, the winners will be honored at the final event on October 5 in Linz.
The winners of the election, which is being organized for the fourth time by Sportland Oberösterreich in cooperation with OÖ Nachrichten, Tips, Life Radio and TV1, can look forward to an improvement in the club’s coffers this year: Each of the 16 district winners will receive 1,000 euros, for the three An additional 250, 500 or 1000 euros await the best-placed players in the national ranking. Last year, significantly more than 200,000 votes were cast in the vote for the volunteer election. Almost as many as there are volunteers in Upper Austria.
