Stacey Bastable, 33, was abused by her 18-year-old cousin during a family reunion. The case took place in April 2021 in St. Wolverhampton, England.
A young man in obvious alcohol intoxication approached the family members with a police baton and started beating three women. Stacey and her daughter were the two victims of the assailant, who denied the allegations early on.
according to daily mail, in the end, the boy pleaded guilty to crimes related to physical aggression and possession of edged weapons. The 20-year-old assailant has now been sentenced to three years in a correctional facility.
Stacey suffered a broken neck and was forced to wear a neck brace for nine months. The woman says that even hugging her daughter makes her feel uncomfortable, because she is afraid of getting hurt again.
