A 27-year-old from the Kirchdorf district was stopped in Wels at around 7:40 p.m. on Friday for a driver and vehicle check. When the police officers came to the car, they saw that the 27-year-old’s two-and-a-half-year-old son was sitting on his mother’s lap while driving. The officers also noticed a clear smell of alcohol coming from the 27-year-old.
An alcohol pre-test carried out after several attempts revealed alcoholization. After the driver was informed about the legal situation, she refused the test with the calibrated alcohol dispenser. The driver’s license and vehicle keys were confiscated on the spot. Furthermore, a report is sent to the child and youth welfare department of the district administration due to the suspicion of endangering the child’s well-being.
