The 17-year-old was driving through Eferding on his converted moped without a license plate at around 2:30 p.m. when the police noticed him. The moped driver then began to accelerate his vehicle massively and fled through an adjacent garden.
The police officers continued the pursuit on foot but were unable to catch the moped. In further consequence The 17-year-old drove through a densely built-up area and raced through the 30 zone at up to 90 km/h. He endangered several pedestrians, including children.
At an intersection, the moped driver finally lost control of his vehicle and fell. The following police officers gave the young man from the district of Grieskirchen first aid before they found out that the moped is not approved for traffic and that there is no valid liability insurance.
