The car park in Forsthausstraße is popular with many walkers who come to Kürnbergwald by car. At the moment, however, they have to do without it.
The reason is the construction of a new extinguishing water tank there, which makes it impossible to use the parking lot. Two more such fire-fighting water tanks are currently being built near the Schneiderbauer and Tower 13. In addition, one will follow in Rufling next year. In total, the city of Leonding is investing more than 213,000 euros with the aim of sustainably improving the extinguishing water situation for the Leonding, Rufling and Hart volunteer fire brigades. There are no hydrants available at these locations, so the emergency services have to draw water from fire-fighting water tanks.
According to the information sheet posted, the parking lot closure will last until September 16th.
