“The atmosphere is excellent and bookings in the marquee are also going extremely well,” says Patrick Stützner, landlord at the large Innviertler Oktoberfest in Ried presented by OÖN, which opens in a week’s time from today. From Wednesday, September 14th to Sunday, September 18th, there will be a celebration on the exhibition grounds.
There is room for 1700 guests in the marquee, for Friday and Saturday only the remaining seats can be reserved. “Around a third of the tables cannot be reserved in advance. Those who come soon have excellent chances of getting a table every day. It is generally noticeable that people are very keen to party,” says Stützner.
The first construction work is already underway at the exhibition center, and a total of 91 exhibitors are coming to the Innviertel. “Exhibitors are very interested. We had more than 100 inquiries in total, so there’s even a waiting list,” says project manager Philipp Murauer. “Our guests can look forward to a great atmosphere, conviviality and an unprecedented culinary variety, including vegetarian and vegan dishes,” says Ried’s trade fair director Helmut Slezak, adding: “Last week’s folk festival in Wels was very well received. That’s a certain indicator for the Oktoberfest in Ried.”
Admission is free on all five days. It starts on Wednesday with the children’s afternoon, with discounts of up to 50 percent. The amusement park offers more than 20 rides for young and old.
The amusement park is open from Wednesday to Friday from 3 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. Wednesday and Sunday there is an OÖN face painting. You can also get these with your OÖNcard from September 10th (while stocks last) in the OÖN branches in Linz and Ried.
