“Many Upper Austrians wished for an uncomplicated vaccination registration directly with their family doctor, and many doctors also criticized the fact that there had never been such an offer,” says Deputy Governor Christine Haberlander (VP). Because family doctors in particular play an important role in Upper Austria’s vaccination strategy.
The software application is intended to prepare Upper Austria for any upcoming pandemic waves. Around 50 general practitioners in Upper Austria are already using the new online platform, which patients can use to book a vaccination appointment. “Especially in autumn, it becomes very important again that people get vaccinated so that they can get through the winter well protected and without difficulties,” says Peter Niedermoser, President of the Upper Austrian Medical Association.
Via the link ooe-impft-ordinationen.at or via corona.ooe.gv.at, patients can access the online registration platform in order to book the desired appointment in one of the participating surgeries. If you are prevented from attending, you can deregister in good time.
