The vita of the Salvida boss and doctorate in medicine is exciting to read: After a career as a professional handball player and a degree in economics, Bammer found his way back from Vorarlberg to his home in Upper Austria. As a family doctor in Eisengattern and a former emergency doctor in Gmunden, he knows the health sector from many perspectives. From his own experience, he is familiar with the strengths of the Austrian healthcare system, but also with its weaknesses, and is now using this knowledge to make the industry more sustainable.
The heart of the operating room
The Salvida project was initiated under the motto “medicine that is viewed holistically”. Since the groundbreaking in July 2021, a multifunctional health center in ecological construction has been built in Eisengattern on three levels. According to the company, doctors, therapists and other health service providers from different specialist areas come together under one roof to jointly deal with the promotion, attainment and maintenance of health. The centerpiece of the center is a state-of-the-art operating room in which day surgical procedures will be carried out in the future. Thanks to the full-service package, the modern equipment and the competent team, healthcare providers can concentrate fully on their actual job, the care of patients. The official opening and inauguration of the building will take place next weekend. With music, regional food and drinks, invited guests can get an idea of the health center on Friday from 3 p.m. There will be an open day on Saturday where Dr. Bammer and his team welcome the public.
