In the grotesque drama, the author dealt with the social advancement of the young girl Lulu around the turn of the century, who fascinated numerous men with her permissiveness. The individual acts are self-contained stations in her life, dealing with pseudo-morality, encroachment, transfigured, patriarchal worldviews, but also emancipation. Frank Wedekind’s famous play about the imagination and fear of men, embodied in a young woman, is still a challenge, especially for the performers. The very demanding role of the title character is taken on by Cecilia Pérez, the role of the seedy publisher Dr. Christian Taubenheim plays beautifully.
