The doors open at 3 p.m. today at the Rieder exhibition center. At the start of the Innviertler Oktoberfest presented by OÖN, visitors receive discounts of up to 50 percent on the more than 20 rides in the amusement park. There will be celebrations in Ried until next Sunday, September 18th. In 2020, the Oktoberfest fell victim to the corona pandemic, which makes Ried’s trade fair director Helmut Slezak’s anticipation all the greater: “The preparations and construction work have been completed, we are happy that things are finally starting. The mood among the exhibitors is very good.”
“You can feel the party mood”
The beer tent, which offers space for around 1700 visitors, starts at 5 p.m. today, the outdoor area “Almgartl” by festival host Patrick Stützner is open from 3 p.m. “The booking situation in the tent is good, you can feel the party mood of the people after the many corona restrictions in recent years,” says Stützner.
“The mood at the folk festival in Ried a year ago was bombastic. That’s why I’m very confident for the coming days,” says exhibitor Ludwig Rieger, who is represented with seven rides in Ried.
Admission is free on all five days. It starts at 3 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday, the amusement park opens at 1 p.m. on Saturday and at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
