Jasmin Zweimüller and Stefanie Mühlbauer have no time to catch their breath. The organizers of the Rieder city run have hardly had their “premier” behind them when the next project is just around the corner: the LUNA charity run. This will take place for the third time from September 19th to 25th. This year, the two organizers of the charity run, together with many supporters, want to help the Moser family from Taiskirchen and their son Lukas. The eleven-year-old was diagnosed with leukemia in October last year. Since then, fear, homesickness and pain have been constant companions in the family. The donation money is intended to cover part of the high therapy and travel costs.
The LUNA charity run stands for “bar and support others at the same time”. Again this year, all participants have the opportunity to swim, walk/walk, run and cycle for a week to collect points and donate money. Thanks to generous sponsors, this year every participant will receive a participant box with an energy drink and muesli bar as additional motivation.
“The last two fundraisers were a huge success. We were able to hand over several thousand euros to the families every year. We hope that we will be able to donate a large amount again this year and thus be able to help Lukas and his family. It is important to us that that we can make our project, the LUNA donation run, even better known and motivate many other participants to be active in sports for a good cause,” explain Jasmin Zweimüller and Stefanie Mühlbauer.
