For one day, Peter Schäfer-Elmayer introduced the eleven young people to the principles of correct behavior in a business environment. “How do I meet colleagues or customers? This is not only a central issue for managers, but also for each individual employee,” said the doyen of good behavior.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., they not only dealt with topics such as punctuality, appearance, choice of words, body language and attitude. “I tried to get the apprentices excited about how interesting people are and how much it brings us if we train our knowledge of human nature,” said Schäfer-Elmayer.
He brought the behavior expert to Linz because personality development is part of a good apprenticeship, says Metro Managing Director Walter Hörndler: “We also want to give the young people confidence in their appearance and in dealing with customers. The course with Mr. Schäfer-Elmayer is a unique opportunity for this. The apprentices were absolutely thrilled.”
