Businessman and ex-biathlete Julian Eberhard were the guests of honor at the first eRush through Upper Austria. 35 participants set off on their e-bikes on Friday and Saturday in rainy weather. From the Bohemian Forest along the Czech border, through the Mühlviertel, past the state capital to Kronstorf, Kaufmann’s hometown. “On the first day we covered 1,600 meters in altitude and 100 kilometers, on the second day 90 kilometers and 1,200 meters in altitude. Even the weather couldn’t dampen the good mood,” said organizer Hans-Peter Kreidl.
On Saturday we first went up to the GIS and from there on towards Kirchschlag and Hellmonsödt. The e-bikers made their way to Kronstorf via the “Oberbairing-Runde”, which leads around Steyregg in the hilly terrain. Professional mountain biker Kaufmann was the first to get there, even without electrical support.
