Less than two weeks later, on Wednesday, October 5th, Julya Rabinowich will be the next highlight in Focus Sierning.
“We’ll talk about Carl tomorrow” is the name of Taschler’s new novel. The author has thus created a family saga spanning three generations, which unfolds from the 19th century to the period after the First World War.
The focus of the novel is the story of the Brugger family, who live in the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel. Taschler guides you through about a hundred years of family history and Austrian history. With a love of detail and yet occasionally in fast motion, the author describes how the people lived here, how they stuck together and argued, and how their lives were repeatedly interrupted.
Judith Taschler: “We’ll talk about Carl tomorrow”, reading in the Rudensaal Sierning on Friday, September 23, at 7.30 p.m.
