At around 8:20 p.m., the 20-year-old Montenegrin drove his van slowly past the parked truck of the 56-year-old in the area of a gas station in Braunau. The young driver was careless and the collision resulted in damage to both vehicles. Immediately afterwards, the 20-year-old got out to inspect the damage.
The drunk 56-year-old then left his truck, insulted the Montenegrin and then hit him in the face with his fist, causing injuries. Because the aggressive Turk was held back by another truck driver, the 20-year-old managed to flee into his van and lock it. There he informed the police.
The injured man received first aid from Red Cross paramedics and was taken to the Braunau hospital for clarification. The police officers carried out an alcohol test on the 56-year-old, which showed a value of 1.62 per mille. He is shown at large.
