Around 2,000 guests were invited to the funeral service on Monday afternoon in London’s Westminster Abbey, including heads of state and government and nobles from all over the world. Uninvited was a tiny visitor spotted on the royal coffin: a spider.
At first hidden in the wreath of flowers, the animal crawled over the letter that was in the bouquet while moving in. “A spider crawled over the Queen’s coffin as the procession entered Westminster Abbey,” The Independent reported online.

The short scene did not go uncommented on Twitter. “God save the royal spider” and “This is now the most famous spider in the world,” users wrote jokingly.
