The market town of St. Thomas am Blasdenstein thanked numerous deserving officials and driving forces in the village with a ceremony. The highlight of the event was the awarding of honorary citizenship to the long-serving community board and fire brigade commander as well as chairman of the beekeepers’ association Karl Bauernfeind by Mayor Michael Naderer. The laudatory speech for the awardee was held by Member of the National Council Nikolaus Prinz.
Josef Schinnerl (retired municipal councilor, chairman of the hunting committee) and Josef Pehböck (founding chairman of the local development association “Unsere Saat Geht auf”) were honored with the Golden Medal of Merit by the market town of St. Thomas am Bladenstein. Markus Jungbauer, Adelheid Naderer, Alfred Panholzer, Markus Peböck and Karl Grufeneder received the silver medal of merit. The bronze medal of merit was presented to: Reinhard Naderer, Edeltraud Herbst, Gerhard Holzer, Johannes Pechböck, Bernd Ebner-Schypani, Herta Spindelberger, Walter Haider, Regina Hürner, Franz Hinterkörner and Franz Naderer. The St. Thomas Music Association arranged the event with festive music and marches.
