The 21-year-old was on the Aurachtal-Landesstraße (L1302) from Reindlmühl towards Pinsdorf at around 10:40 p.m. Because he was driving too fast, he drove his Volvo off the road. At the entrance to Großkufhaus, the car hit a wall and overturned before it was thrown against a concrete pillar on a driveway and landed on the roof.
The driver from the Gmunden district was able to climb out of the wreck himself. Neighbors heard the accident and called an ambulance. In addition to paramedics from the Red Cross, the Pinsdorf and Wiesen fire brigades also arrived, as well as an emergency doctor and two police patrols. A breathalyser test on the 21-year-old accident driver showed a blood alcohol level of 0.84. He was taken to the hospital in Vöcklabruck. An ad will follow.
