Extensive traffic obstructions occur on Saturday afternoon in the Machland communities of the Perg district. The reason for this is an “alarm exercise” on Machlanddamm that is mandatory every five years. Among other things, the mobile flood protection in Mauthausen, Saxen-Dornach and Grein will be set up. After public roads are also affected by the mobile protective walls to be erected, the B3 will be closed in the affected communities between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Local diversions will be set up. The Danube bridges Grein and Mauthausen are not affected by the alarm exercise.
Blocking of the B3 in the Mauthausen area
A signposted diversion route will be set up from Pulgarn via Luftenberg, St. Georgen an der Gusen, Lungitz, Ried in der Riedmark to Mauthausen.
Blocking of the B 3 in the Saxen-Dornach area
A signposted diversion route will be set up from Saxen via Achatzberg to Grein.
Blocking of the B 3 in the Grein-Donaukai area
Cars can dodge through the local area (height limit 3.50 m). For trucks there is a signposted diversion route from Grein-West via Bad Kreuzen, Dimbach and Aumühle (B119a) to Grein-Ost.
