The Alkoven and Polsing fire brigades were actually alerted to a fire alarm at a gas station in the Straß district shortly before midnight. However, when they arrived at the scene, the situation was completely different.
A driver had strayed from the Eferdinger Bundesstraße (B 129) with his Ford and crashed into a fence at a gas station. Before that, he ripped out an entire petrol pump, which was thrown a few meters away.
