At a time when many things are becoming more expensive and at the same time sustainability can conserve resources (and costs), bazaars with used items are a good opportunity, especially for families, to stock up on clothing, sports equipment, books and toys at low cost, says Heidrun Pühringer. Today, September 24, she and her team are organizing a “Children’s Bazaar” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parish hall of St. Leopold in Urfahr – and are offering many goods there.
On Sunday, September 25th, Linz also offers the opportunity to buy quality clothing that is often not even worn at a very reasonable price, where Christine Zehetner and her team of volunteers are organizing an autumn bazaar with children’s articles and maternity wear. At the same time (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) there will also be a book exhibition in the St. Theresia parish home on Losensteinstrasse in cooperation with Meritas by Melanie Hofinger (cake buffet included).
For Zehetner, too, it makes sense not to simply throw away clothing that has hardly been used, but to “continue to use it appreciatively”. That would protect both the budget and the climate.
