The possible composition of the coalition government after the election is also completely open. Even an arithmetical majority for a two-party coalition is not considered secure. A black-green state government has governed the state since 2013. In addition to the People’s Party, the parties SPÖ, FPÖ, Greens, List Fritz and NEOS represented in the state parliament are candidates. The vaccination-critical MFG also competes nationwide. The KPÖ is running in the provincial capital of Innsbruck and in Innsbruck-Land. The group “join in – the list for everyone else” only occurs in Innsbruck-Land.
Most polling stations open at 8 a.m. and most close at 5 p.m. The preliminary final result is expected to arrive from 7 p.m. It already contains postal voting and other ballot cards.
the Tyrolean Election is also considered an important federal political mood test. Then, on October 9th, there will be a nationwide ballot with the federal presidential election. In the coming year, Lower Austria, Salzburg and Carinthia will re-elect their provincial parliaments.
