Ringer GmbH. based in Regau has again achieved a sales record. The family business was able to increase sales by 33.3 percent to EUR 64.4 million in the 2021/22 financial year. A decisive contribution to this was made in exports.
“Developments on the construction market were extremely positive in 2021, our customers’ order books were full, if not to say at a record level,” says Managing Director Peter Rungger. There was also a marked increase in the export share from 15 to 23 percent. The demand for Ringer products in Slovenia and Croatia increased particularly strongly, followed by Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia.
The sharp rise in raw material prices and the often difficult delivery situation were a challenge for Ringer in the past financial year. “We also had to pass part of the higher raw material prices on to our customers,” says sales manager and co-owner Markus Ringer. “Decades of partnership and a great deal of trust between our customers and us have also helped here.”
The investment in the expansion of the company’s own photovoltaic system proved to be spot on. At the end of 2021, a system with an output of 1000 kWp went into operation at the main plant in Regau. In addition to the existing capacities, the annual electricity production is now around 1200 MWh, which corresponds to the energy requirements of 330 households.
The outlook for the current financial year is rated as uncertain. “What is currently happening with material and energy prices is extremely volatile and difficult to predict,” says Rungger. “Unfortunately, these circumstances will not leave the construction industry unaffected.”
