The city of Grieskirchen brought deserving personalities in front of the curtain at an evening of voluntary work. The former director of the Grieskirchen State Music School, Kurt Tischlinger, was awarded the Ring of Honour. The long-standing chairman of the Kulturforum Landl, which organizes the Landlwochen every year, was also the driving force behind the Grieskirchner network that stretches across the church square.
Union chairwoman Christine Schmidbauer received the gold medal of honor. For 15 years she has been in charge of the club, which has organized numerous major events in recent years and is successful in championship operations in three sections (fistball, badminton and volleyball).
Helpers from Meals on Wheels and traditional associations such as the railway band, which looks back on 90 years, and the volunteer fire brigade, which celebrated their 150th anniversary, were also brought in front of the curtain.
President Gerald Nußbichler from Round Table 34 presented a 1000 euro check for the “Grieskirchner helfen Grieskirchnern” foundation.
