Excitement and big performances: What is remembered from the fashion weeks

After New York, London and Milan, Paris was the last of the “Big Four” to finish the international show marathon yesterday. The big names in the industry had recently shown their collections for spring and summer 2023 – and they had quite a few surprises with them. An excerpt.

Elaborate cuts, artistic design: Balmain enchanted the audience with its new spring/summer collection. However, one of the highlights of the show was singer Cher. The 76-year-old surprisingly walked the catwalk – in a skin-tight latex suit.

Also Dolce & Gabbana relied on star power for their presentation and had announced a “surprise” weeks before the show. It turned out to be a black and white film of Kim Kardashian eating pasta. The video played oversized in the background while the models showed off the collection.

It should be a moment that the fashion world will remember for a long time: Model Bella Hadid walked the runway at the Coperni show in just a thong and stiletto heels. The Parisian label had come up with something very special: a dress was sprayed directly onto Hadid’s body from two spray cans.

A probably unique production delivered Gucci. The label unveiled 68 looks on individual models before ending up climbing a wall down the middle of the runway, revealing the audience on the other side had seen the exact same show – presented by their respective twins.

Saint Laurent showed his clothes from the new collection for spring 2023 in front of a breathtaking backdrop – right in front of the Eiffel Tower. The XXL coats, which reach to the ground, were particularly striking.

Many labels have finished with sneakers and hardly show any sneakers anymore. Instead, dominated ultra high platform shoes – like Vivienne Westwood. Etro combined socks with clogs, and at Fendi, models took to the catwalk in grass-green models.
