“In the course of the investigations into the digitization of the weekly markets in Stadtplatz, Ennsleite and Münichholz, local councilor Rosa Hieß once again expressed the desire to set up a market in the Resthof district,” says City Councilor Evelyn Kattnigg (FP) as the responsible market officer. Questionnaires for the Resthof residents are now being placed in the shops in order to obtain information for setting up a weekly market. The questionnaires should be returned to the shops by the end of November.
The need for a market in the rest of the courtyard is given, says SP mandatarin Hieß: “Together we want to realize a weekly market for the citizens in the spring of 2023 on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m..” Especially since the corona pandemic, the desire to shop regionally has been more noticeable.
Kattnigg says the market days on Thursdays and Saturdays are deliberately to be avoided in order to increase acceptance: “And we would like to give working people the opportunity to shop regionally with an afternoon offer.”
