In October and November, the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) sends out around 175,000 invitations to check-ups to people who are insured with the ÖGK and have never had a health check or have not had one for a long time.
The health check is free once a year for everyone over the age of 18 and can be used by any doctor with a corresponding contract and in the health centers of the ÖGK.
Andreas Krauter, senior doctor at the ÖGK: “Preventive check-ups help to identify health risks and illnesses early on. Take the opportunity so that you can experience many years of health, joy and all the possibilities of exercise.”
Stay healthy and live longer
Because the health check offers the opportunity to find ways to live longer and healthier together with the treating physicians. The health check is recommended for people under the age of 40 every three years and over 40 every two years. Of course, people who have not received an invitation can also go to the check-up, provided the last health check was twelve months ago.
