The Klimatickets OÖ and Salzburg as well as the OÖVV youth ticket network and the “Super s’Cool-Card” are now also valid on selected, cross-state lines of the two network areas.
From the Innviertler point of view, this has a particularly beneficial effect on the southern part of the Braunau district with its many Salzburg commuters.
The alliance is intended to bring financial relief to passengers who use cross-border public transport. “People who commute between the two federal states every day experience an upgrade in the validity of the tariff zones for their annual network cards,” says Upper Austria’s Infrastructure Provincial Councilor Günther Steinkellner.
The savings could amount to up to 300 euros per year, according to Salzburg’s Transport Provincial Councilor Stefan Schnöll. “The respective climate tickets and student network cards are valid on all 22 cross-border bus lines between Upper Austria and Salzburg,” says Johannes Gfrerer, Managing Director of the Salzburg Transport Association.
