According to the Brazilian press, the campaign of the ultraconservative is compiling evidence of what it qualifies as cases of partiality of the TSE against the candidate for re-election during the campaign for the first round that was held this Sunday.
“These facts could serve as a basis for challenge the result in case of Jair Bolsonaro’s defeat. There is the possibility of an action in the coming days against the TSE itself,” reported Folha de Sao Paulo.
Bolsonaro and his team of advisers consider as cases of partiality against him the prohibition, during the final stretch of the campaign, to use the Alvorada Palace (official residence of the president) to carry out his proselytizing broadcasts live through social networks.
Other arguments would be the authorization of free public transportation in some cities of Brazil to guarantee participation in the elections and to which Bolsonarism opposed, and the order to remove from the profiles of followers of the ultra-conservative of publications that link to Lula da Silva with the head of the criminal group PCC (First Capital Command).
In the case of the lawsuit for the PCC case, Jair Bolsonaro’s lawyers will argue that the rapporteur should have been the minister Carmen Luciabut despite this, the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Alexandre de Moraes -who handles the complaints against the president in the Federal Supreme Court-, decided to take the matter on his own, alleging urgency.
