There was a surprisingly large crowd on Tuesday afternoon at a Corona vaccination campaign in Bad Goisern. More than 240 people from the entire World Heritage region took the opportunity to be vaccinated. “We didn’t expect this success,” says Christian Besendorfer from the market town of Bad Goisern. “Maybe it was also because the number of infections is increasing again.”
For 90 percent of the visitors it was the fourth stab against Corona. During the vaccination campaign, there was also the opportunity to be vaccinated against other diseases or simply to have informational talks. Numerous doctors from the inner Salzkammergut, including paediatricians, made themselves available for the campaign.
For the campaign, Bad Goisern, Hallstatt and Obertraun pooled the funds that the federal government is currently making available to the municipalities (earmarked) for vaccination campaigns. This also made it possible to invite everyone who took part in the vaccination for a snack.
