A 54-year-old is said to have thrown paving stones at a motor vehicle train that was traveling on a section of road in the Lasberg municipality despite a driving ban on Wednesday afternoon. According to statements by the 31-year-old chauffeur, the drunk Mühlviertler stood on the road and threw several stones against the driver’s cab. The background of the attack was initially in the dark.
The truck driver got out and confronted the man from the Freistadt district, which culminated in a verbal argument. When the driver finally went back to his vehicle, a cobblestone hit him in the back, suffering minor injuries. There was minor damage to the truck.
An alcohol test carried out on the 54-year-old gave a positive result. After the investigation is completed, a final report will be sent to the public prosecutor’s office, the police said on Wednesday evening.
