30 deserving personalities from the social sector were honored in Linz. Franz Traunmuller received the honorary title “Consultant for Social Affairs”. The man from Wels has been volunteering for six decades, including in the church sector, and since 2007 he has been the district chairman of the Senior Citizens’ Association.
The Grieskirchner also received the title of consultant Johann Feizlmayr, who is responsible for the concerns of the older generation as Deputy State Chairman. and district chairman of the Senior Citizens’ Association.
The Peuerbacher Joseph Manigatterer was honored with the Humanity Medal. He has been involved in his home parish since a young age. During relief operations in India and Congo, he helped build an orphanage and a hospital and also supported refugee families.
Ernestine Finzinger from St. Marienkirchen an der Polsenz also received the Humanity Medal for her commitment in the parish and for older people as SB chairwoman. The former mayor of Hinzenbach John Thalhammer received the award for his voluntary commitment and assistance for people in difficult situations. Also awarded the Humanity Medal Joseph Aichinger awarded from Stroheim.
