The cultural initiative “literatur.schiff” brought the Scottish historian, political journalist and writer Martin Walker to Steyr for a reading. The author, who lives in Périgord in southern France, presents his novel “Tête-à-tête – the fourteenth case for Bruno, Chef de police”, which is also set in Périgord.
In France, “tête-à-tête” still refers to a confidential conversation between two people. The 14th volume of the Bruno series tells a lot about the country and its people, sights in the area and much more. Eating and drinking well is also part of it again: Bruno prepares a few menus, including a vegan one, and the reader is right in the middle of it. As usual, politics and history are also topics in this book. Instead of Walker, a language artist will recite excerpts from the book at the reading.
