Sustainability fair “WeFair”: Innovative ideas, young audience

Whether fashion from PET bottles or the organically produced armpit cream “Armillary Kiss”, which is intended to replace conventional deodorants: the sustainability fair “WeFair” from October 7th to 9th in the Linz Design Center showed which products make it possible to use the resources of the world to be a little gentler. More than 7,500 people found out about ideas, products and services at the trade fair presented by the Upper Austrian News.

For its 15th anniversary, Austria’s largest sustainability fair was able to appeal to a particularly large number of young people. “Our WeFair Goes to School school workshops and events were fully booked within a few days,” says Managing Director Wolfgang Pfoser-Almer: “On the opening day of WeFair, the students literally stormed the exhibition hall.”

The appearance of the online activist Jana Klar, a tour especially for influencers and a meeting with “Fridays for Future” also inspired young people in particular and further sensitized them to the topic of sustainability.
