The 65-year-old from Mühlviertler was driving his motorcycle on the B 129 from Wilhering towards Alkoven at around 3:50 p.m. when he was overlooked by an 83-year-old car driver. The woman wanted to drive onto the B 129 from a side street and collided with the 65-year-old when turning left, who was then thrown over the hood of the car and suffered injuries.
The motorcycle slid across the road into the adjacent green belt and was badly damaged – it then had to be recovered by the FF Alkoven. The car also suffered material damage: the front bumper and the right headlight and fender were completely torn away, but the driver and her passenger were uninjured.
