Chile started the campaign with the bivalent vaccine against coronavirus

The official herself expressed her wish that this type of immunization be received in a good way: “For that, we have the commitment of all primary care officials who are the ones who help us to have this facility to access more vaccines.”

“The idea is that this vaccine be once a year. However, all the measures that have to do with this pandemic will always be under evaluation, because it is a situation that continues to be dynamic,” added Aguilera.

The head of the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, Christian García, indicated that these vaccines “are still scarce in the world”, so the priority will be “the people who need it most” and, later, it will be incorporated “to adults elderly and other priority groups.

In this sense, according to the official calendar, the first to be inoculated are health personnel and immunosuppressed people. There are 334,800 doses from the Pfizer/BioNTech laboratory that arrived in Chile to join the vaccination schedule.

On the other hand, the Covid-19 figures detail that since the arrival of the virus in Chile, 4,656,842 cases and 61,345 deaths have been registered.
