As part of the city council’s “Zukunft Ried” urban development initiative, representatives from various sectors, interest groups and, above all, citizens of Ried are working for what is known as “grandchild suitability”, i.e. forward-looking development in all areas: At the “Rieder Future Days” on Friday, October 14th , from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, October 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the urban development forum at Roßmarkt 33, stations, workshops and discussion rounds are offered where you can get involved.
Registration and previous knowledge are not necessary. An idea workshop with hands-on stations including a children’s program and exhibitions is planned for Friday. From 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. there will be a mobility talk with experts from the company komobile, with the first results of the ongoing traffic count, parking space survey and mobility survey being the topics.
From 2 to 3 p.m. there will be a climate walk with experts from Rosinak & Partner on the subject of knowledge about climate change adaptation options as part of a walk through the city. A climate talk is planned for 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and another climate walk from 5 p.m. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be tasting, bubble tea creations by youth coordinator Anna Gervasi from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturday, October 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be another ideas workshop with hands-on theme stations, a children’s program and exhibitions.
During a “Streets in bloom” campaign from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., those interested can give free rein to their creativity and make the streets more colorful with chalk. From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. there will be a future talk: The first results from the Rieder Citizens’ Council and the ideas that have already been submitted by other interest groups can be discussed together. From 11 a.m. specialties of Turkish cuisine will be served by the ATIB Union association.
