Linzer Südpark is to be expanded by 14,000 square meters

It had been announced for a long time, now the regulation procedure has been initiated. The Südpark Pichling business park is to be expanded to the west by 14,000 square meters. The corresponding plot areas are owned by the city and are being reclassified as building land or business development area. The City of Linz wants to create expansion options for the companies located in the west of the Südpark. “We support their further development and secure additional jobs,” says City Councilor Dietmar Prammer (SP).

Greening measures in the development plan

The areas have already been defined as expansion areas in the local development concept. Adjustments are still being made with regard to the new footpaths and cycle paths to be created. At the same time, a development plan was drawn up to implement greening measures. What is meant by this is a green strip that needs to be relocated. The fact that the development plan provides for green roofs and photovoltaic systems is already standard, says Prammer to the OÖN. There are currently no further expansion plans.
