When driving through the Haselgraben, a 47-year-old Pole lost control of his car on the rain-soaked road. In a sharp right-hand bend, the car, in which there were two work colleagues, skidded and came into the oncoming lane.
There the car collided with the oncoming car of a 36-year-old. The woman from the Urfahr area was traveling with her two sons aged five and six.
Both the mother and the children were injured in the accident. Rescue took her to a hospital. The driver who caused the accident and his passengers were unharmed, the police said on Saturday evening. The Hellmonsödt and Kirchschlag fire brigades arrived for the clean-up work, which took about an hour.
