The 42-year-old Moroccan – according to the police, he and the young woman have known each other for a long time, but are not a couple – is said to have been violent towards his later victim days before. At the time, however, she had not filed a complaint.
Last Saturday, the 42-year-old held the woman who had visited him in his apartment from ten o’clock in the morning. He is said to have threatened and injured the 28-year-old. She suffered a broken rib and a concussion, among other injuries. According to the police, sexualized violence was not involved.

In a moment of inattention on the part of the man, the Tyrolean woman managed to call her mother for help around half past four. This finally alerted the emergency services. The apartment in Innsbruck was broken into and the police freed the seriously injured woman. She had to be taken to the Innsbruck clinic.
The 42-year-old Moroccan was arrested. The well-known man is in police custody, the suspect’s motive was initially unknown.
