In terms of weather, the Linz marathon is already under a lucky star: According to the forecast by the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG), next Sunday will bring dry weather. The only “spoilsport” could be the fog, which is supposed to clear in the lowlands “in some places only in the afternoon”. Otherwise, the meteorologists expect sunshine and occasional high clouds throughout Upper Austria. It gets föhn in the mountains. Temperatures will rise to between 15 and 21 degrees over the course of Sunday, with the Eisenwurzen region being favoured.

In the east, the sun will come through a bit in the morning and the rain will only intensify in the afternoon. In Vorarlberg, on the other hand, it will still rain heavily in the morning and the afternoon will be largely dry and increasingly sunny. The wind initially blows weakly from different directions, with the front turning to the west and temporarily picking up. The early temperatures are six to 13 degrees, daily maximum temperatures 13 to 20 degrees.

At the Tuesday more and more clouds are gathering, especially in the western half of the country, individual rain showers are expected for Vorarlberg and Tyrol. Otherwise it will be dry and very sunny, especially towards the east and south-east. Here the local morning fog fields clear quickly and only thin veil clouds cross during the day. The wind will be weak to moderate from the south, and the foehn will weaken in the mountains. According to the forecast, the early temperatures are expected to be between five and 13 degrees, with the maximum daily temperatures being mild at 16 to 23 degrees.
