Apparently, Sabrina Filzmoser got off to a good start with her first police internship, which she recently started in Linz. The ex-European champion, who ended her international career after the Olympic Games last year, managed to catch a shoplifter on Thursday.
He had tried to escape from his interrogation at the Linz Landhaus police station. “On the middle distance, she easily caught up with a thief and forced him to “Maitta” (to give up; note),” the police reported on social channels.
The longer the pursuit had lasted, the worse the shoplifter’s chances would have been, since Filzmoser had only climbed Mount Everest in May. A documentary about the adventure will be shown on November 8th in the Sparkasse hall in Wels. The 42-year-old is still in judo training and was also on the mat at the state championships in Weiz at the beginning of October.
