The details: On Monday, a fault zone will appear from the west. In the west and north, the day starts cloudy and in Vorarlberg and Tyrol it starts to rain in the morning. In the afternoon, rain and showers will spread further east to western Lower Austria, Upper Styria and Upper Carinthia. Further to the east, it will remain dry during the day and at times sunny, but patches of fog will persist over the flat land in the east. In the mountains, there is a brisk southerly wind with a foehn blowing, otherwise it is rather weak. The early temperatures are four to 13 degrees, the maximum daily temperatures depending on the sun and foehn at 15 to 22 degrees.

On Tuesday, residual clouds from the nocturnal fault zone in the east and south will initially remain, and it will also rain at times from southern Burgenland to Upper Carinthia. Some fog can persist in the western half of the Alps. With increasing air pressure, however, the weather improves during the day and sunshine prevails everywhere. In the afternoon, a few cumulus clouds will appear over the mountains, and individual rain showers cannot be ruled out here. In the north and east, a moderate westerly wind blows at times, otherwise there is little wind. From seven to 13 degrees in the morning, the temperatures rise to 16 to 21 degrees.
Good prospects for the holiday
On Wednesday, the national holiday, the day begins again over the lowlands and within the Alps with a few patches of fog, which can persist in places. From the west, a few harmless, often high cloud fields also move across the sky during the day. Nevertheless, the friendly and often sunny weather character prevails in large parts of the country. The wind will be weak to moderate from southeast to west. It is three to twelve degrees in the morning and 15 to 22 degrees in the afternoon.

The air pressure will continue to rise on Thursday, and the supply of very mild air masses will increase further. Sunshine will be plentiful aside from local early morning fog patches. The wind blows only weakly and mostly comes from east to south. The early temperatures are four to eleven degrees, by the afternoon the temperature will rise to a very mild 16 to 23 degrees.
Up to 24 degrees on Friday
High pressure continues on Friday. A few patches of fog are to be expected over the lowlands, and the day also started cloudy in some valleys. Gradually the fog clears and bright sunshine prevails. The sky is often cloudless. The wind is weak from southeast to southwest. The early temperatures range from six to twelve degrees, the maximum daily temperatures reach 16 to 24 degrees.
